Bluetooth HandsFreeLink

Pilot models with navigation allow you to make and receive calls while keeping your hands on the wheel by using Bluetooth technology and the HandsFree profile with the audio system and your mobile phone. All of this can be done without ever having to handle your phone as long as it's somewhere in the vehicle. The system is easy to operate using voice commands and can be paired with up to six different phones. The Pilot's HandsFreeLink internal phone book can store up to 50 phone numbers, and the Pilot with navigation lets you import your entire phonebook into the navigation system.

Making and Receiving Calls

To use the HandsFreeLink system, turn the vehicle's ignition to ON, turn on your phone-with Bluetooth enabled-and place it anywhere inside the vehicle. Wait for the phone link icon to appear on the center display. Then press and release the HandsFreeLink TALK button. After the beep, say "Call" or "Dial," followed by the phone number. Or choose one that you've stored in the HandsFreeLink phonebook by saying "Call" or "Dial," followed by the phonebook entry name. Phone Book Function

Your Bluetooth HandsFreeLink internal phonebook allows you to store up to 50 contacts. You can input them via speech recognition or you can use Bluetooth to send individual phone numbers from your cellular phone. To add a number to the HandsFreeLink phonebook using Voice Recognition, press and release the TALK button and say "Phonebook." The system will then prompt you with available commands. For complete directions, view the video or refer to the Technology Reference Guide (Quick Start Guide on 2009 models) or the Pilot Owner's Manual.

Phone Book Import

The Pilot Touring's navigation system has an expanded contact database that can store up to 10,000 phone numbers per phone, allowing your entire phonebook to be imported into the navigation system's database at one time. It's separate from the HandsFreeLink voice-command phonebook and can only be accessed through the navigation system INFO screen menu. Currently, only a select few cellular phone models have this capability, so make sure yours is one of them before beginning this process; you can find out at .
