Forward Collision Warning

As the Accord approaches a vehicle detected ahead of it, the Forward Collision Warning (FCW) on EX-L and Touring models monitors the speed of the Accord and the closing distance of the vehicle ahead. If the brake is not applied or other avoidance actions taken and a collision appears likely, the system alerts the driver through visual and audible warnings. FCW cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation may be affected by extreme interior heat. FCW does not include a braking function, so the driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions. Watch the video to find out more about how the system works.
